DESCRIPTION

Gastroenteritis (gas-tro-ent-er-I-tis) is an inflammation of the stomach and bowel that is often wrongly called the ""flu.'' It should only last 1 or 2 days.

CAUSES
|
|
The problem can be caused by infections with either viruses or bacteria. Food poisoning also can cause gastroenteritis.
|
|
SYMPTOMS
|
|
Common symptoms are diarrhea and vomiting, Others include fever, stomach cramps, nausea, headache, tiredness, and muscle aches.

CARE
|
|
Gastroenteritis can be treated at home.
